Oath of Age: 13 and Older
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and play Layout Duels.
The rule
Layout Duels is intended for players aged 13 and over. We do not ask for a date of birth in V1 and we do not store one. This page exists so the rule is stated plainly and is easy to find. By creating an account, you are confirming that you meet the age requirement.
Why the line is 13
Thirteen is the usual minimum age for general-audience online services in the United States. Children’s online privacy law there sets strict requirements around collecting personal information from children under 13, including verifiable parental consent. Layout Duels is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them, so it sets its minimum age at 13 and keeps the line simple.
If you are under 13
Please do not create an account and please do not play. If an account has already been created by someone under 13, a parent or guardian can write to support@layoutduels.com and ask for it to be removed. Include the account email address or the player name. We will remove the account and the data attached to it, and you do not need to explain why.
A note for parents and guardians
- Layout Duels is free to play in a web browser. There is nothing to download and no purchase is required to use any part of the game.
- Players on the free tier see banner ads on menu screens, never during a battle. The optional Noble and Royal subscriptions remove them.
- Subscriptions are sold and processed at checkout by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, which handles payment, taxes, receipts, and refunds.
- Subscriptions remove ads and add cosmetic prestige such as auras and profile frames. They never grant rating boosts, matchmaking favors, stronger pieces, or in-game information, so no payment buys an advantage on the board.
The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is collected and why. The Terms of Service cover the rules of use, and Arena Support is the route for any question, including privacy and account removal requests. Every policy in one place: Laws & Decrees.
